Breakpoint One Introduces New Edge AI Platform for Local AI Applications

Polypreter, the first product based on the new platform, combines local AI processing, real-time translation and low latency while ensuring complete data security and privacy.

Artificial intelligence does not necessarily have to run in the cloud. Breakpoint One is introducing a new Edge AI platform that enables companies to run AI applications locally, securely and with minimal latency. The first application based on the platform is Polypreter – a system for secure real-time translation that will be available for pilot projects and initial customer deployments from Q4 2026.

As more and more organizations seek to adopt artificial intelligence, cloud-based solutions often face limitations. Data protection requirements, latency and limited or unavailable internet connectivity can make their use difficult in many environments.

With its new Edge AI platform, Breakpoint One takes a different approach: powerful AI applications run directly on local hardware – securely, quickly and independently of external services.

The Solution

Demand for sovereign AI solutions continues to grow. Companies and public-sector organizations want to benefit from modern AI without giving external providers access to sensitive data. At the same time, requirements for fast response times and operational reliability are increasing.

Breakpoint One’s Edge AI platform addresses these developments by providing the foundation for a new generation of local AI applications. The platform was developed to run artificial intelligence directly where data is generated – securely, with minimal latency and without requiring a permanent internet connection. At the same time, it provides the foundation for future local AI agents and other generative AI applications within corporate IT environments.

Polypreter demonstrates the potential of the platform through a practical application: it provides live translation entirely locally, without transmitting sensitive data to external services. Whether in an international board meeting, a medical consultation or communication within public authorities, language should never be a barrier.

Polypreter translates spoken language directly and provides the translation immediately as text and audio. All processing takes place locally on the Edge AI platform, ensuring that confidential conversations and sensitive information remain under the operator’s control at all times.

In addition to data protection, local processing offers further significant advantages. Direct processing minimizes response times and enables the system to operate even in environments with limited or no internet connectivity. This makes the platform suitable for companies, public authorities, healthcare, industrial applications and international events, helping organizations strengthen their digital and AI sovereignty.

Availability

Polypreter will be available from Q4 2026. Live demonstrations, pilot projects and initial customer installations can already be arranged with Breakpoint One.
