🌱 Launch: AVATARS – SEED — Bringing Plant Science to Life in #VR
Berlin, 2025-12-12
We’re excited to announce the release of AVATARS – SEED, a new VR learning experience designed to spark curiosity for plant science, genetics, and biological research — especially among young audiences. We produced this experience on behalf of IPK Leibniz-Institut.
In this immersive journey, players wake from cryosleep aboard a research vessel and take on a crucial mission: reconstructing, analyzing, and understanding seeds to ensure the survival of future plant life.
What makes AVATARS – SEED unique:
🔬 Real scientific #data
All seed models featured in the experience are based directly on data and 3D structures from the underlying research project (AVATARS) — ensuring scientific accuracy and authenticity.
🤖 A research-informed #AI companion
Our in-experience AI guide is powered by scientific publications, enabling it to answer questions about plant biology, genetics, and the research context in a meaningful and engaging way.
🎮 Hands-on, interactive #learning
By experimenting with environmental conditions, solving reconstruction challenges, and exploring biological mechanisms, players intuitively understand complex scientific concepts through gameplay.
🎓 A project built for awareness & scientific engagement
AVATARS – SEED is part of a broader effort to make modern plant research accessible, inspiring, and relevant for younger generations.
